Catholic Mass Media Awards 2013

In November, Escandor received yet another award after the Catholic Mass Media Awards named his photo of the dilapidated classroom in Malabon City the year’s Best News Photograph.

 

Almost eight months later, in September, Escandor again won; this time, the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers’ (WAN-INFRA) Gold Award for a “highly-charged photo of an encounter between police authorities and informal settlers.  This was his third award from the same body.
