Lockheed C-130 Hercules

Inside the cockpit of the USMC Lockheed C-130 Hercules enroute to Puerto Princesa Palawan  October 26, 2011 for the 2 day RP-US Joint Amphibious landing exercise 2011. Selected members of the media took on board to cover the exercises. 

The Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. service members kicked off Exercise Balikatan 2011, an annual joint exercise between the U.S. and the Republic of the Philippines.

The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft designed and built originally by Lockheed, nowLockheed Martin. Capable of using unprepared runways for takeoffs and landings, the C-130 was originally designed as a troop, medical evacuation, and cargo transport aircraft.
