Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) clear the shanties along Road 10 near Moriones St. in Tondo Manila Monday, February 09, 2009. The Road 10 which stretches from Velazquez St. in Tondo to Lapu-Lapu St. in Navotas is schaduled to be widened. The Comission on Human Rights (CHR) will challenge the MMDA.
The Comission on Human Rights (CHR) has ordered all evictions which do not provide descent relocation to stop immediately. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA)since Feb 22009, has evicted families without relocations.
